Laori Vaus, Cleric of Zon-Kuthon

Laori Vaus

Laori Vaus

Description[]

Laori is a Forlorn Elf in the service of Zon-Kuthon. Laori displays her allegiance to Zon-Kuthon openly in her choice of weapon and armor (a spiked chain and hook-studded chainmail), yet her demeanor and attitude are anything but grim. Laori is chronically cheerful, always brimming with delight and quick to laugh, making her somewhat unsettling to be around.

History[]

You first met Laori in Salvator Screams house. She was also looking for the painter and knew where to find him.

While you were put off by her immediate appearance and weird match of personality and religion, Zyriel seemed to be attracted to the otherwise beautiful elf. He persuaded the party to listen to her.

She told you that the Emperor had Scream and also presented proof that Neolandus had been in the house. As part of the agreement, Laori joined you on your mission to the Pilts's base of operation.

Once there you saw her stange approach to fighting seeming almost giddy to engage in combat. After defeating the emperor, exploring his compound, you found several "old" Salvator paintings that Laori was intensely interested in. After agreeing to split the three paintings between you and her, Laori allowed you to take everything else in the rooms.

After finding Scream, Laori wanted to talk to him in private, which you denied her, and she accepted to talk to him with you there. She asked him about his paintings and his muse. Salvator explained his muse came to him in dreams, which interested Laori. He also said that this muse seemed to have left him, which dissappointed Laori. Afterwards she suggested that she could take Salvator to safety, but accepted that you did not trust her with the task.

Before she left, she joyously predicted that she would see them again, and said she looked forward to next time, blinking to Zyriel, before slipping into the lengthening shadows of Old Korvosa.
